All I can say about Alaina’s home is wow! I am in love with every single space. Her blog Live Creating Yourself features her home tour and I asked her if I could share it with you today.
She describes her style as budget-friendly, comfort chic. She is a 24-years-old, works from home on a non-profit salary, and lives with two dogs and a guy – so comfort, durability, and affordability are key factors when she decorates. (i.e. she says she had to choose dark bedding for when the dogs randomly jump on it, an affordable rug for when it inevitably gets spilled on or guests don’t remove their shoes, and a couch that remarkably never holds a stain!) She says she proud to say that her entire home was furnished almost entirely off of Craigslist, thrift store, Ikea, and family hand-me-downs!
That’s what I like to hear! Enjoy her beautiful home.

This home tour has me seriously excited. That lounge-dining room is so stylish – all the natural light, propped up mirror and sophisticated grey tones with pops of yellow. Love that Ikat fabric on the yellow cushion – FAB! Thanks for posting. Will

Love her house! So comfy and soothing.
She has such a beautiful, easy-going style. Looks so inviting.
Love love her home. It's absolutely beautiful. I'm giggling a little bit at the Photoshop action in the patio picture. I totally did the same thing to one of my pictures for my home tour. I had taken down some shelves to fix something and was so bothered they were not in the house tour pictures that I just added them from an old photo!
so fresh and inviting! love the dining table area and the top of her dresser/vanity! -loveofinteriors
I love the look of her buffet/hutch/bar set up in the dining room! Can I just steal the look whole?
Bri – that WAS totally photoshopped! The umbrella, West Elm pouf, flowerboxes, AND Twinkle lights! I explain when I posted it on my blog that's it my plan for the deck. How I WANT it to look. Since then, I've added the twinkle lights and West Elm pouf, but no umbrella or flowers yet. Haha love that you noticed though! And I LOVE photoshop!

Love this space. I could certainly live here.
Alaina's dining room is to die for! I ordered a couple prints from her a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier with them.
In the pic with the dogs on the bed, there are three pictures on the wall. If you don't look diretly at them each one looks like it could be a letter. M A N
Above the bed. Humm… lol
