New York Top 10 Things to Do

Our Work | November 8, 2010

The trip was amazing. We had so much fun and I don’t think I have ever shopped so much in my life. I’ve been to New York many times before and I feel like I’ve done all the tourist stuff so this trip really was about visiting fun stores and cute restaurants.  I thought I’d make a list of my must-do’s for any of you who are ever planning a trip:

#1 Ride the Metro.

Although taxis are much more convenient I just think there is something really authentic about taking the subway. You get to see so many unique people and there is usually live music in some of the stations from people trying to earn a few extra dollars. Even though it’s dirty and I saw a few rats I still think it’s so fun.

#2 See Wicked!!

I have seen it before but it was seriously amazing. I really felt like I was grinning from happiness during the whole show and when I wasn’t grinning I was fighting back tears. The music was amazing. I wish we could have seen it every night!!

This cafe was seen in the movie You’ve Got Mail. It’s so cute.
It was such a magical little place. My waffle was so yummy.
# 4 Walk through Central Park
Central Park never ceases to impress. We loved walking through the trees and seeing the changing colors of the leaves.

# 5 Serendipity Frozen Hot Chocolate
So amazing. I got mint and it was so yummy.
#6 Soho
There are so many great stores in Soho. You have to visit Canal Street and H & M and Topshop and Zara and the Jonathan Adler store! I loved it.
Grimaldi’s Pizza has been rated the best pizza in New York. It is a place right under the brooklyn bridge that has amazing pizza. We’d all heard great reviews about it so we wanted to check it out. It was a long walk and a long wait in line but it was totally worth it!
#8 Walk Across the Brooklyn Bridge
After the pizza we decided to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. It was honestly my favorite thing that we did the whole trip
The view of the city was breathtaking. We could see everything including the statue of liberty.
#9 Rockefeller Anthropologie
Two-story giant Anthropologie. Need I say more?
I wish we could have had more time for cupcakes. They were so good. Hands down the best frosting I’ve ever had.
It was such a fun trip!!! I loved every second of it. Now it’s back to real-life. I have lots and lots of emails  to return and projects to get back to.  I hope you all had a great weekend!
