A Little Organization

As my fabric sample selection has grown I’ve been keeping everything in a big basket. However every time I have to find a sample I have to dump out the entire basket and sort through them. So last weekend one of my amazing interns ironed and hung them up for me.
This is such a better solution. I just have them hanging in my closet.
Eventually I’ll get myself one of these to hang all my samples on. But until then I’m sure enjoying opening my closet door to see such wonderful and colorful fabrics!

What I would give for an organized sample library! Our fabric bins are literally to the ceiling…. maybe time to edit 🙂

What a fab idea! Of course my closet is stuff with so much other stuff I couldn't even get a 5" square of fabric in there! And love the rolling garment rack idea as well.

Hey, great minds think alike! I just used skirt hangers to organize all my pillow covers. You are right that it is fun to peek in the closet… now maybe I won't mind the door being left open!

Love this! I've had two photos in my inspiration file forever that are the same thing! Fabric is WAY too pretty to be shoved into baskets or drawers!!

Oh man! What a great idea! If only I had that kind of space in my classroom, we're always ALWAYS having to reorganize the fabric samples.

That's a great idea…better than all floating around in a huge bag like mine

That's exactly what I'm planning to do… Glad to see it works well!

Very nice…and now they will stay fairly ironed.

Very smart! It is so much better than digging through stacks, which I have been known to do myself!!
