Accent Table Styling with Birch Lane

DIY | December 4, 2014

If you have been following my blog for a loooong time then you may remember my ikea side tables. They had a long happy life in my home but I’ve been itching to get something new for awhile. So I finally got a pair of paper mache tables. I’ve been eyeing them for awhile. I just love the unique shape. Because my old tables had trays there wasn’t much room for accessorizing.  Once I got the new tables I found myself wishing I had a better selection of accessory options to choose from.
Luckily I am partnering with Birch Lane to show off some of my favorite pieces from their new online store. It’s a new home furnishings line with fresh and traditional pieces at an attainable price point
How amazing is this Faux Pink Peony Arrangement
When I am styling a side table I love to add fresh florals whenever possible but I’m always sad when the flowers die. I sneak in faux arrangements when I can just so I can keep that fresh floral look all year long.
Another one of my tips when styling a side table is to layer objects on books.  It’s great to get some height variation. (You can see I’ve already started decorating for Christmas!) .
It’s always fun to add some brass elements like this Corinthian Hourglass
For styling a coffee table I almost always have a stack of pretty books and then some sort of bowl or tray. A bowl that has an organic element like the Angelique Bowl is a great option.
Accent tables are one of my most favorite parts of designing a room. I just love finding the perfect pieces for each table!
