Now before I write this post I have to disclaimer that hanging a beautiful chandelier over your tub is against code and could be an electrical hazard… do not try this at home unless you are just a sucker for good design like me. 😉

The key to finding the perfect fixture to put over a tub is to find something that stands out on it’s own. I like pieces that have interesting shapes or are really intricate. If you put something boring over your tub you won’t be accentuating it you’ll just be downplaying it.

I love all the chandeliers you showed here! The Ellis pendant looks a lot like the flush mount I put in my hallway, I guess I'm doing things right. I wish I could have a nice big bathroom with a fancy fixture! Someday.
I love this post. My mom just renovated her bathroom and hung a statement chandelier over the tub. The whole time my practical lawyer father was losing his mind about how ridiculously against code it was. It is like wearing really high heels, right? If it is beautiful, who cares? [email protected]
