Morgan Farmhouse Master Bedroom

For the farmhouse master we wanted to keep the theme of the home going with crisp white walls, wood floors with a little contrast in the accessories. The King size four poster bed fits well with the small vault in the ceiling where we added yet another rustic beam. We also wanted to bring in some texture and warmth on the window treatments by doing these woven shades made by select blinds. We love using their product for a lot of our projects, they have great options for color and functionality.

We used select blind’s product throughout most of the house, but in the master we used their wood woven shades in the colorway island camel. For the master we chose to have the top down bottom up feature, where you can lower the shades from the top or pull them up from the bottom. We wanted to have the option of privacy but still utilize the natural light from all of the windows in this room. We based the color scheme in this room around the art piece above the bed by Kathleen Peterson. We just love her unique talent and the colors in this piece fit perfectly for the room.

Another space we utilized a select blinds product is in the stairwell. There is a large window where that brings in such great natural light that we didn’t want to sacrifice any of that to a window treatment. Which would be hard to functionally use anyway. We chose to use an inconspicuous electric shade that is thin enough to still let some light through, but gives privacy at night and is easily controlled with a remote control. You can barely tell that it is even there and that is just what we wanted, it blends right in!

The stairwell railing we wanted to keep simple and modern but we love the contrast of the raw metal color. The entire railing is one solid metal piece, with a flat rail and round posts. Though simple, the stairwell is light and bright with a little touch of detail here and there.

In addition to the master reveal we are collaborating with Select Blinds on giving our followers and extra discount on any order with the coupon code JADE5. This code is in on top of any other discount they are already offering! Window treatments are a necessity, whether for functionality or decor purposes and Select Blinds has all the options you need all in one place. The discount code lasts till 05/17. Beautiful as always! Can you tell me what fabric you used on the stairwell window shade? We have three of these in our vaulted living room and it’s just what I’ve been looking for! Thank you.

another beautiful finish! I have been following you for years now and you just keep getting better and better.

The blinds in bedroom you did bottom up top down, which I have been wanting to do but haven’t pulled the trigger. I don’t see any cords on these, ar they electric like the one on staircase?

They do have cords, which is the only negative. I felt like to have the extra light was worth it. We just added the cord hooks on the inside of the window case.
