Last week was spent slaving over homework and getting ready for my Portfolio presentation. So this last weekend I was itching to do something crafty. I went to the craft store and bought a few supplies. I had many ideas in mind. I was able to complete two of my projects, one is still in the works and one of them failed miserably. It’s always a gamble if my projects are going to turn out as planned.
I made that lovely spring banner using this tutorial. It was so fun.
I also saw this idea of using Glue Dots to jazz up a boring mirror.
{Don’t mind my ugliness}
The 7$ Ikea mirror Before…
… and after!
It gives it this kind of effect:
I didn’t read the whole post though because it turns out the blogger used glass pebbles on her mirror. I just used the glue dots but I think it still turned out nicely with just my glue dots. I just can’t walk too close to it or I will get stuck!
Wow!
Inspiring blog with stunning photographs
Love the banner. I want to make one for my son's birthday, but having 20 other projects I'm working on. The tutorial sounded pretty easy….I might just have to try it.
I love your banner! By the time I get around to making it though, I will have to spell out summer or sunny or sunshine. ;o)
How fun! The banner looks great, and I like how such a simple project really jazzed up your mirror!
What a cool effect! I would love to try this.
forget the mirror….I'm swooning over your cheery pillow collection. Love them!
love both your projects! they turned out great:)
i don't consider myself to be a particularly "crafty" girls, but there are times when a good craft can really make me smile.
love your little spring banner. the fabrics and colors are so fresh and fun!
🙂
very clever you 🙂 well done … cheers le
I have seen that Ikea mirror a bunch of times but never thought to try to "jazz it up". This looks so much more interesting now! And even a not so crafty girl like me could handle this – though I'll try to remember the glass beads so I can get really close to the mirror if need be! And hello, I see no ugliness. You are totally funny 🙂
Have a great weekend! Marija
Where did you find your sofa pillows? Love them all, especially the colorful peacock one. I would like to snag a couple for my family room. Loving the ideas you share here!
